February 1 - 5 2010: IV HELAS Conference

HELAS 2010
Canary Islands, Spain. A week away from the snow, or so it should have been. I registered, prepared a poster, and in the end had to cancel. Oh well... there's a first time for everything.

January 21 2010: Playing Dragon Age

Dragon Age
So I played Dragon Age: Origins. Thrice in a row. That's never happened before, not even with TES games. It made me rethink my positions on the genre and the whole medium. I should write an essay about it, but as usual, I don't have time. If you like RPGs, though, try it; chances are you'll love it.

I almost forgot to mention that I have already made a mod for it! It's a bugfix kind of thing, not as glorious as the Imperial City Suburbs, but arguably more useful.

It's called "Alistair Dialog Patch" and as the name says, it fixes problems in conversations with one of the main characters. Read more!

October 4 2009: Imperial City Suburbs

Imperial City Suburbs
I finished my first big mod for Oblivion. It's called "Imperial City Suburbs" and it aims to populate the Imperial City island. It's my modest attempt at making the City what I had expected it to be before playing Oblivion.

I invite you to try it out!

September 28 - 30 2009: SREAC Meeting in Belgrade

SREAC 2009
And so I have found how the other side of an astronomical meeting looks like: I had the honor of being a member of the Local Organizing Committee, which in short meant I got to prepare only this promotive poster and got to listen to very few lectures and got to spend very few hours with my friends who came to Belgrade from all over the region.

But it also meant shaking hands and exchanging smiles with every single participant, which was more than enough to compensate. :)

I hope our guests had a good time, and that they will visit us again! In the meantime, if you took part in the meeting, please go to the conference site and don't miss the deadline for the proceedings!

May 22 2009: AstroPlot v1.1 released!!!

April 15 2009: Bye bye Serbian pages

After a long deliberation with myself, I have decided to ditch the Serbian version of the site. Having it means doing many tiresome things twice. Not having it may sadden a stray non-English-speaking fan of mine; however, I doubt these are very many. So, yes. Bye-bye Serbian pages.

March 10 2009: New site in preparation

I'm making a new site! However, it's going to take some time. This remains the "main" site until all the content from here is copied there, and then, hopefully, adding new stuff will become much easier and thus more frequent.

October 11 2008: I've got a cat!!!

I adopted the most beautiful Persian cat :) Her name is Stella! She's been exploring her new home for less than a full day now, and doesn't yet feel entirely confident. She did manage to find every nook and cranny (and the dust within) already :) Very clumsy, keeps bumping at things while playing. Also likes to slide down the floor on her belly. Here are some pictures.

October 2 - 5 2008: XV National Conference of Serbian Astronomers, Belgrade

XV National Conference of Serbian Astronomers
Finally an astronomical meeting for which I don't have to travel! This is my third National Conference (and neither of the three had same names: first was XIII National Conference of Yugoslav Astronomers in 2002, and then XIV National Conference of Astronomers of Serbia and Montenegro in 2005, heh).

There were interesting people to meet, interesting lectures to hear and interesting new places to be found in my home town. I hope our guests had such a good time as well!

September 15 - 19 2008: International school on disentangling of spectra, Ondrejov

Dr Petr Hadrava held a course on disentangling spectra and the usage of his rather famous program KOREL. The course wasn't trivial to follow, and the working hours were very long. Since we only got to spend one day in Prague, this summer school wasn't as fun as they usually get.

September 8 - 12 2008: JENAM 2008, Vienna

JENAM 2008
It was a great pleasure to visit Vienna for the first time, but even greater to meet so many friends. The conference was not very tiring (again we had a poster, although this time I had the opportunity to present it with a very short talk) , and I had plenty of time to walk around and have fun. Photo gallery here!

August 1 2008: AstroPlot support group

We decided to found a group for AstroPlot user support.

July 21 2008: AstroPlot on Softpedia

AstroPlot on Softpedia
Softpedia is now also hosting AstroPlot, and it has been granted their "100% CLEAN award"!

June 23 - 27 2008: Wroclaw HELAS Workshop

I had a wonderful week in Wroclaw, Poland, as a participant of the international astroseismic workshop organized by the University of Wroclaw and HELAS.

Apart from meeting old friends and making new ones (and having loads of fun!), I did my best to keep up with the scientific program. There were talks and posters on virtually every field of astroseismology, offering a unique opportunity to learn and interact; I also presented a poster showing off what Barna and I were recently busy with.

I was a bit lazy at making photos this time, so there are only a few; but I hope to gather more from my friends in the coming days, so watch out for updates!

April 2 2008: AstroPlot final released!!!

AstroPlot
After a bit over a year of development, AstroPlot is ready to ship out :)

The official version 1.0 doesn't bring new features, but it is finished and polished, together with updated documentation. Download it right away!

February 15 2008: Playing The Witcher

The Witcher
Possibly the best computer game I ever played, certainly the best RPG I ever played. The Witcher positively bewitched me :) If you like to play games, and are of age, I wholeheartedly recommend trying out this one!
